Animal Shelter/Rescue Operations Affinity Group  

The Washington Federation of Animal Care and Control Agencies (WAFED) is launching a quarterly affinity group focused on bringing operations supervisors and managers together to discuss current challenges, industry trends, innovative ideas, opportunities to collaborate, and so much more. The group will be led by a peer-role facilitator; Alex Ropes, Animal Shelter Manger at Regional Animal Services of King County.

Where: Zoom (with potential to meet in-person once annually, based on group consensus)
When: Tuesday, August 27th. 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
Who: Animal welfare staff whose primary job focus is operations management. The group is designed for positions in a supervisor or manager role, typically in a middle management position, supervising multiple staff members and overseeing operations.
