Operations Affinity Group
The Operations Affinity Group is a regularly scheduled meeting for WAFED members whose primary professional focus is operations management within the animal welfare field. This group is designed specifically for staff serving in supervisory or managerial roles—typically middle management positions responsible for overseeing daily operations and leading multiple team members. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of every month.
Whether you manage shelter operations, field services, facilities, or cross-departmental workflows, this group provides a dedicated space to connect with peers who understand the complexities of operational leadership. Discussions focus on practical problem-solving, process improvement, team supervision, resource management, and navigating the unique challenges of animal welfare operations.
Participation is limited to eligible WAFED members in qualifying roles to ensure relevant, high-level conversation and shared experience.
